About:

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Yvonne Gail Darnell, who departed this world on November 29, 2025, at the age of 67. Yvonne was born on November 11, 1958, in Berlin, Wisconsin, to her loving parents, Gail (Harke) Baker and Jesse Link.

Yvonne graduated from Ripon High School, in Ripon, WI, in 1977. After high school, she embarked on a journey that led her to various professions, including waitressing and bartending in Saratoga, Wyoming, as well as owning a hotel and restaurant in Sweetwater, Texas, with her husband. Later, she found her calling in retail in Sheridan, Wyoming.

In 1977, Yvonne married Allen Grahn, with whom she later parted ways with. In 1992, she married Paul Darnell, and together they built a life. Yvonne was graciously preceded in death by her father, Jesse Link, and her second husband, Paul Darnell.

Yvonne was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra (Grahn) Stone, of Oshkosh, WI; her grandsons, Brayden Liske, Christian Signor, Shelley Stone; her son, Donovan (Jill) Grahn, of Edmond, OK, and grandson, Gunner Grahn; and her mother, Gail Baker, of Buffalo, WY, brothers: Bruce Link of Ripon, WI, Michael Link, and Bill Krueger (Susan), both of Buffalo, WY; and beloved sister and best friend, Kim Podgornik, of Sheridan, WY. The bonds she nurtured within her family were a testament to her caring nature and the love she shared so freely.

Beyond her professional life, Yvonne had a plethora of interests that defined who she was. She enjoyed playing cribbage, a game that brought her many hours of joy and companionship. Yvonne was also an avid hunter, reveling in the thrill of deer and antelope hunting. Her adventurous spirit led her to Las Vegas, where she made countless memories, and her love for reading allowed her to explore new worlds through literature. Above all, Yvonne cherished spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Rose.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Second Chance Cat Rescue in Sheridan, Wyoming, a cause close to Yvonne's heart, reflecting her love for animals and her desire to make a difference.

As we remember Yvonne Gail Darnell, we honor her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her zest for life. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
